J. DAVID AMOS, ASP
Senior Consultant
Dave Amos has over 30 years of safety and health experience predominantly in a joint
labor management system. He has served as an emergency medical technician and firefighter
II under the NFPA guidelines, and a hazardous materials incident commander. Dave
also served as Red Cross chapter chairperson of the CPR and first aid training activities
and carries instructor and instructor trainer certification. He has been involved
in response and testimony on several OSHA standards that impact worker safety and
has served as a local union discussion leader in the health and safety areas for
his regional and international union.
As a Senior Consultant, Dave conducts safety and health training, safety team training,
compliance audits and other service offerings for clients in a variety of industries.
He serves as the course chair for the OSHA 501, Trainer Course for General Industry
Standards, OSHA 309A Electrical Standards class, and OSHA 201 Hazardous Materials
class. He is called on to assist with his technical expertise in the development
of all NSC courses and specialty offerings for a variety of client needs in many
industries.
Dave attained the rank of Associate Safety Professional through the Board of Certified
Safety Professionals and is affiliated with the American Society of Safety Engineers
and the National Fire Protection Association.
