NSC's DDC 4, 5th edition includes two new 10-minute video sessions:
“Chain of Choices” looks at
the choices that each driver makes every day. Proper following distance, common
courtesy road rage, driver distractions are covered along insight from Dr William
Glasser and Dr. Leon James on why people choose the driving behaviors they do.
“The Untold Story” goes into
depth on what really happens to drivers and passengers in vehicle crashes. In computer
enhanced scenes we see why the lap belt and shoulder harness are designed to be
worn in a certain manner. This is combined with on screen professionals who explain
why alcohol and commonly used drugs impair driving even before drivers even realize
they are impaired.
DDC 4, 5th edition revised or expanded course content includes:
- Aggressive driving and road rage
- Fatigue and drowsy driving
- How driver behavior and mental conditions affect driving
- Defensive driving techniques
- The crash impact on passengers
- How to avoid a collision and case study scenarios
- Personal driving style evaluation
- Hazard recognition and collision avoidance
- Emotional impairment, common driving irritation and “pet Peeves”
- The “Fatal Four” causes of a crash
- Driving skills inventory and assessments
- Occupant protection laws and graduate driver’s licensing
- Vehicle malfunctions and maintenance
Best of all…NSC has committed to maintaining its current DDC 4 course material pricing!
