Emergency Care Training Center and Instructor

Application Checklist

The following information must be submitted to the National Safety Council to apply for status as a training center. If you wish to teach the general public, skip to the next section, Instructor Application.

Training Center Agreement

There are two types of training center agreements: private and international:

  • Please sign and date the appropriate training center agreement and check the courses you wish to teach.


Instructor Application/Agreement

All prospective instructors need to complete and submit the agreement.

  • Submit the completed application with copies of current instructor credentials (i.e. AHA, ARC, medic first aid instructor/trainer credentials, RN, first responder, EMT or paramedic certificate, etc.)

Instructor resource kit(s)

Upon approval of the instructor credentials, each instructor must purchase an instructor resource kit, which includes a student manual, instructor manual, VHS and DVD, and an instructor CD-ROM.


Credit application

This application must be submitted by all prospective instructors and training centers regardless of the preferred method of payment for materials.

Teaching packages

All instructors are required to purchase the appropriate teaching package or packages for the programs they wish to teach. Contact customerservice@nsc.org, or (800) 621-6244, to learn which materials you will need to order, once your application has been approved. If inquiring by e-mail, be sure to mention which courses you will be offering.
