- AsthmaMoms (http://www.asthmamoms.com) - AsthmaMoms is an on-line environmental audit to see how asthma-friendly your home or your child's school are.
- Asthma and Schools (www.asthmaandschools.org/) - The Asthma and Schools website will consolidate information about asthma-related resources for school personnel working with grades K-12. The simple, searchable database will link to educational materials, medical information, Web sites, and other resources useful for anyone who works in a school serving children and youth.
- No Attacks (www.noattacks.org) - EPA, in collaboration with The Advertising Council, is launching a national advertising campaign to encourage parents of children with asthma to take steps to prevent asthma attacks.
- The National Institutes of Health National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NIH/NHLBI) (www.nhlbi.nih.gov/nhlbi/nhlbi.htm) -
The NHLBI Web site includes the Asthma Management Model System (AAMMS), a massive interactive Web site co-sponsored by the National Asthma Education and Prevention Program (NAAEP), and the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA). It provides research, education, and communication components. They provide select pamphlets useful for patient education. NEW - Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Management of Asthma: Update on Selected Topics 2002.
- Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America

This non-profit organization is dedicated to finding a cure for and controlling asthma and allergic diseases. AAFA provides pamphlets, books, and other materials on asthma with special emphasis on materials for children and teens. They have a location for you to learn your local pollen count, and they address medication assistance programs. Information in Spanish is available.
- American Lung Association (ALA) (www.lungusa.org) - They provide an array of literature with more than 160 print materials available on lung health. Information is available in Spanish. www.lungusa.org
- American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, (AAAAI) (www.aaaai.org) - AAAAI has a patient/public resource center with excellent one- to two-page Fact Sheets and News Releases on topics relating to asthma. It offers extensive information for health care providers and for patients. Information is available in Spanish on-line.
- Mayo Clinic Allergy and Asthma Center (www.mayohealth.org) - The Asthma Center Web site includes interactive quizzes, reference articles appropriate for both parents and medical personnel, and a pertinent section on first aid for allergic and venom reactions.
- National Jewish Medical and Research Center (www.nationaljewish.org) -
This is the only medical and research center in the United States entirely devoted to respiratory, allergic, and immune system diseases. Their “Lung Line” page lists several good educational booklets. Single copies are available at no cost.
- Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) (www.epa.gov/iaq/asthma) - EPA offers an array of educational materials from fact sheets to brochures and pamphets on-line.
- Healthfinder (www.healthfinder.gov) - Healthfinder Web site is a comprehensive collection of links to Web Sites and organizations on a wide variety of health related topics. Selecting “Hot Topics,” then “Asthma,” will take you to a great listing of resources.
- The ABCs of Secondhand Smoke: A Training Module for Child Care Providers (www.nsc.org/ehc/chldhlth.htm) - The ABC's of Secondhand Smoke contains information about the dangers of secondhand smoke, resources to increase your knowledge, and ideas for using the materials with parents, children, and your co-workers.
