Andrews:
I'm Richard Andrews, director of the Governor's Office
of Emergency Services. This is an EnvironMinute Disaster Advisory
from our agency and the National Safety Council. :10
Announcer:
When a wildfire approaches your area, stay tuned to
your local radio or TV station for fire information — you may need to
evacuate. Here are some tips for a quick getaway. Pack your
valuables, and park your car facing out. Keep your keys with you.
When you go outside, sparks may be flying. Wear protective clothes:
pants and a long-sleeved shirt made of cotton; goggles for your eyes;
and a cap on your head. If the smoke is heavy, cover your nose and
mouth with a dry bandana. Don't wet it! Steam could injure your
lungs. Finally, if you hear the order to evacuate, LEAVE
IMMEDIATELY — and follow any special instructions. :34

This EnvironMinute Disaster Advisory was brought to you
by the Teresa and H. John Heinz III Foundation. :05
