Andrews:
I'm Richard Andrews, director of the Governor's Office
of Emergency Services. This is an EnvironMinute Disaster Advisory
from our agency and the National Safety Council. :10
Announcer:
You know it's important to learn about fire safety.
Here are ideas for how you can help teach others how to survive in a
fire emergency. Community projects are a good way to get involved.
Sponsor a seminar on fire-safe landscapes, or plant a demonstration
garden. How about planning an annual cleanup day to clear brush
around your local school or park? You can form a speakers' bureau to
address fire-related issues or distribute fire safety tips. Fire
safety fairs or training exercises can educate your entire community.
Remember, your efforts may save a life. :34
