(THEME :02 AND UNDER)
Andrews:
Hi, I'm Richard Andrews, director of the Governor's Office of Emergency Services. This is an EnvironMinute Disaster Advisory from our agency and the National Safety Council. :09
Announcer:
When an earthquake strikes, it's important to know how to protect yourself. One simple safety drill is called "duck, cover, and hold." Duck or drop to the floor and take cover under a sturdy desk or table. Grab hold of your shelter and be prepared to move with it. In a real earthquake, stay under cover until you're sure it's safe to come out. Know the best place to "duck, cover, and hold" at work and at home. If you cannot take cover, move under a doorway. Stay away from tall furniture, hanging lights, mirrors, and windows. Protect your head and neck with your arms. Be prepared for an earthquake. Practice your "duck, cover, and hold" drill often. :35

This EnvironMinute Disaster Advisory was brought to you by the Teresa and H. John Heinz III Foundation. :10
