(THEME :02 AND UNDER)
Andrews:
Hi, I'm Richard Andrews, director of the Governor's Office of Emergency Services. This is an EnvironMinute Disaster Advisory from our agency and the National Safety Council. :10
Announcer:
An earthquake can quickly turn your normal routine into chaos. The situation can be even more of a crisis if you're physically challenged. If you are in bed or out of your wheelchair when an earthquake strikes, don't panic. Stay where you are and cover your head and neck. If you're in a wheelchair, move to a doorway for protection. Again, use your arms to cover your head and neck. When the quake is over, be prepared to feel some aftershocks. Listen to a portable radio for news reports and follow instructions from public safety officials. If you have to evacuate your home, be sure to leave a note so that others know where to find you. :35
Announcer:
This EnvironMinute Disaster Advisory was brought to you by the Teresa and H. John Heinz III Foundation. :10
