NSC Applauds President-elect Biden's American Rescue Plan

Itasca, IL – The National Safety Council applauds President-elect Biden’s comprehensive and aggressive American Rescue Plan. NSC previously called for this much-needed federal guidance to help the country respond to and manage this pandemic. In addition to protecting the American workforce from COVID-19, we strongly support the national vaccination effort and an increased focus on testing to stop the spread and protect at-risk populations. Additionally, NSC supports OSHA issuing an Emergency Temporary Standard to protect workers as the pandemic continues and help businesses prioritize safety during recovery.

With 157 million people in the workforce, employers must play a pivotal role in helping the American public understand the benefits a vaccine brings, while also ensuring they are reinforcing proven safety precautions to keep workplaces safe and stop the spread. We are committed to collaborating with leaders and stakeholders – both in the private and public sectors – to continue to support the business community in this effort.
