Safety Technology 2024

In 2020 Work to Zero conducted initial research that identified the top hazardous situations and associated risks that contributed to workplace fatalities across various safety-sensitive industries, and then identified relevant environment, health and safety (EHS) technologies that could be used to address those hazards. Next, Work to Zero conducted a survey to understand the awareness, attitudes, and usage of those EHS technologies within different industries. 

In 2023, three years after the initial survey, Work to Zero redeployed the survey to understand the changes and trends in safety technology implementation. Areas covered include:

• Likely Exposures
• Contributors to Injuries
• Employer Concerns
• Trends in Technology Applicability, Consideration, Testing and Use
• Barriers to Adoption
